THE SCULPTURE STUDIO

The sculpture studio occupies the space once used by the industrial arts program. It consist of the general work area, tool room, welding area and spray booth.
Students in sculpture receive hands on experience working in a variety of material ranging from paper to stone. Processes cover assemblage, stone and wood carving, arc welding, environmental and performance art. There can be up to four levels of students per class starting with first semester basic, second semester intermidiate, third semester advanced and fourth semester independent study.
  

Stick Assemblage

Students were given twenty-five basswood sticks measuring 1/8" x 1/8" x 6" and two tubes of Super Glue Gel and instructed to assemble a sculpture based on the Elements of three-Dimensional Form and the Principles of Three-Dimensional order.
